Welcome! We’re Eva and JP!

We’ve been full time travel bloggers for 5 years now and we spend anywhere from 60-100 days each year traveling around the US.

We love experiencing all kinds of accommodations from timeshares, resorts, campgrounds, cabins, and more when we travel!

Both of us have past experience working in the hotel and timeshare industries, so we have unique insight on the operations, sales, and marketing of these sectors of the tourism industry.

We are also timeshare owners with experience sampling other timeshare companies too!

    Why I Blog

My mission is to highlight all the best accommodations available throughout the US for every budget and every type of traveler.

This is actually my third blog and I started this one to focus in on one specific aspect of travel – where you stay when you travel!

I want every traveler to feel confident in their accommodation choices on their road trips and vacations.

I want to share tips on how to get the best deal and when a little splurge is worth it.

My goal is to be the go-to resource on all things timeshares, resorts, and more in the US!

We’re Staying In Every Hilton Vacation Club Resort In The US!

Our very first timeshare purchase was a 10 year sampler package with Diamond Resorts.

Since that original purchase back in 2020, they have been acquired by Hilton.

As the two continue to merge, there is a distinction now between the original Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare and what my timeshare is, which is Hilton Vacation Club.

One of our bucket list items is to use our timeshare to stay at every resort they have!

So far we’ve stayed at 17 different properties over the past 5 years.

We Love To Go Camping Too!

As much as we enjoy our Four Seasons and Waldorf Astoria stays we’ve done over the years, there is nothing like camping.

We tend to gravitate to either KOA campgrounds or camping inside National and State Parks.

I love that with KOAs you pretty much always know what you’re going to get and what to expect, but they’re all unique in their own way.

One of our bucket list goals is to visit every National Park in the lower 48 states of the US and we usually end of taking camping road trips when we visit them which is so much fun!

Our honeymoon was actually a 3 week road trip throughout the 4 Corner states – Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah – and we spent the vast majority of that trip camp tenting.

How Did We Create Our Accommodations Bucket List?

    It came about pretty organically.

I grew up going to Disney World every summer and as a Disney Vacation Club member we were always resort hopping.

So it started back then with our mission to stay at every Disney World resort hotels, which I’ve done numerous times now.

Once JP and I were together, I was working front desk at a hotel and basically every hotel was $45 (when the discount was available), so we started taking weekend trips all over California.

That’s how we got to stay at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills and the La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs.

Once we went into business for ourselves, we found that we were taking longer road trips – like up to 2 months at a time – so we found that a combination of timeshares and camping worked the best for all the places we wanted to visit.

So now we’re just traveling as much as we can and visiting as many new places as possible.

I mentioned earlier that this isn’t my first blog, so I’ve been featured in articles from Forbes, Time, Associated Press, Business Insider, Yahoo, AOL, CNN, Capital One, The Guardian, Northwestern Mutual, USA Today, TLC, GoodRx, and more.

But since this blog is specifically all about timeshares, resorts, and more, I thought I’d share where I’ve been featured in relation to lodging!

    Meet Eva

First of all, thanks for checking out this blog and wanting to learn more about me!

This photo is of me at a wine tasting in Santa Barbara a couple years ago.

A little bit about me – I have been working in the Travel and Tourism industry for over 10 years in various capacities.

Since I was 12 years old, I’ve always said that I just want a job where I can go to Disney World whenever I wanted.

So I knew I’d be doing things differently than most people I knew.

When it came time for college, I pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management, with a minor in Leadership from Saint Leo University, about an hour outside of Disney World.

During this time, I interned for Disney World and Disneyland a few times and led service trips to Ecuador and Costa Rica through my university.

My final Spring Break of college I decided to just do a fun trip and visited my sorority sister who was earning her Masters Degree in Edinburgh, Scotland.

So in a whirlwind 5 day trip, I went to Edinburgh, Disneyland Paris, and Dublin!

Then I got a Master’s Degree from University of Central Florida in Hospitality and Tourism Management and a Graduate Certificate in Destination Marketing and Management.

Did you know it’s the #1 Hospitality degree program in the US and the #2 in the world??!!

While in grad school I worked front desk at a hotel while also simultaneously working at Disneyland.

Eventually I moved on to guided vacation sales for awhile until I started my own blogging business!

My very first blog was (and still is) Discovering Hidden Gems, which I began in January 2020.

My second blog is Mouse Transportation Tips, which I started in March 2024.

May of 2024 I started this blog!
