Want to know what it’s like to stay in the Ka’anapali Beach Club Deluxe Oceanview Suite? We’ve got you covered with everything we experienced during our stay!

For our 1 year wedding anniversary trip, we had the pleasure of staying at Ka’anapali Beach Club in a one bedroom Deluxe Oceanview Suite.

As timeshare owners, this stay was given to us as a welcome gift/signing bonus.

It included the hotel stay and round trip airfare for the two of us.

Since our stay, Diamond Resorts has been bought out by Hilton Grand Vacations, another popular timeshare company.

So far, no major changes have taken place with this buyout other than just the branding.

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be a timeshare owner to stay here.

You can book your room directly or through your preferred third party booking platform like you would any other hotel or resort.

You can see a full walk-through of our room in this video on our YouTube Channel.

Ka’anapali Beach Club Deluxe Oceanview Review

As you enter the resort, the entire lower level is completely open.

You’re never truly “inside” until you’re in your suite.

The parking is all underground, which is actually super convenient.

You don’t have to go far to get to your car.

The pool and bar are right on the beach, so you have a nice view no matter where you’re hanging out at the resort.

The day we arrived it was chilly and rainy, so everyone was getting their drinks and heading straight to the hot tub!

We did exactly the same thing.

The hot tub says it’s for adults only, but it’s not something that seems to have ever been enforced on the property.

Or maybe it was just that it was too cold to get in the pool, so they allowed everyone to use the hot tub during that time.

Since the occupancy was so low during our visit, this wasn’t an issue, but now that travel has resumed to basically pre-pandemic levels, the situation may be a little different.

You can see more of the resort in this video on our YouTube Channel.

One Bedroom Deluxe Oceanview Suite

There are several different room types offered at Ka’anapali Beach Club and luckily we were able to secure a Deluxe Oceanview Suite.

Before the pandemic this probably would have been nearly impossible to do so last minute, but we were traveling February of 2021 when hardly any visitors were on the island and the occupancy at the resort was at historical lows.

The biggest perk of staying at a resort like this versus a traditional hotel is having a full kitchen.

Going out to eat for every meal adds up quickly, so being able to cook some food in your room or heat up leftovers will help keep your spending in check.

When we arrived, we went to Costco to pick up some water and muffins that we could have for breakfast each day.

I also personally loved the jacuzzi tub.

The bathroom overall was big and spacious.

Having a separate living space from the bedroom is also a nice perk, especially the more people you have staying with you.

Another thing we loved about the suites here are the huge sliding glass doors in the living room and bedroom.

We had them open a lot and it was nice watching the sunrise and sunset from bed.

At first, we kept them open slightly at night.

Then one morning a bird almost got in, so we decided that wasn’t a good idea anymore!

We also brought binoculars with us and did whale watching right from our balcony.

Cacao Farm + Chocolate Tasting Tour

This was one of the highlights of our trip, with my favorite photo of us in the treehouse tasting chocolates made from the cacao grown on this farm.

The views are amazing, the chocolate is amazing, and it’s a fun experience most Maui visitors don’t get to do.

More Great Places To Stay With Your Diamond Resorts Timeshare

Over the past few years we’ve had the opportunity to stay in several Diamond Resort properties around the US.

They’re all in the middle of being re-branded to Hilton Grand Vacations due to Hilton buying out Diamond, but for the most part, the resorts will be staying the same for the foreseeable future.

It’s just the management is changing and the branding changing for now – except for Marquis Villas Resort in Palm Springs which closed permanently.

Polo Towers – Las Vegas, Nevada

Polo Towers is right on the Las Vegas Strip, across from The Cosmopolitan.

We love the central location of this resort, as well as having a full kitchen because most Vegas hotels today have their fridge full of drinks that have insane mark ups, making them un-useable for yourself.

We’ve stayed in a variety of room types here over the years including a Two BedroomStudio Efficiency, and 1 Bedroom Accessible Room.

Varsity Clubs Of America – Tucson, Arizona

We absolutely love staying at this resort in Tucson.

It’s low key, but right in the middle of town, making it easily accessible to all the area tourist attractions and restaurants.

Varsity Clubs of America Tucson

San Luis Bay Inn – Avila Beach, California

San Luis Bay Inn is located in a small beach town about an hour and a half north of Santa Barbara and and only about 10 minutes from San Luis Obispo.

The resort is right along the beach and in walking distance to the entire beach promenade.

Avila Beach, California

Grande Villas Resort – Orlando, Florida

Grande Villas is just outside of Disney Springs, so it is conveniently located to all things Disney!

There is an on-site pizza & deli restaurant, full bar, and Starbucks coffee too.

The tub is really the highlight of the room though.

Cypress Pointe – Orlando

Cypress Pointe is another Hilton resort and it is actually right across the street from the Grande Villas resort!

The studio rooms here are unique in that they are more like a honeymoon suite and they are so affordable considering they are right outside of Disney Springs.

Cypress Pointe in Orlando

Riviera Oaks Racquet Club – Ramona, California

Ramona, California is a small town about 40 miles northeast from San Diego.

It’s in a rural area that has a newly growing wine region, making for a great laid back resort experience.

Turtle Rock Ridge Winery

The Suites At Fall Creek – Branson, Missouri

Branson is known for their entertainment, as well as having great outdoor activities, and their own theme park.

This resort is the perfect place to stay to see it all in Branson.

Riviera Beach & Shores Resort – Capistrano Beach, CA

Riviera Beach & Shores Resort is an oceanfront property near the southern tip of Orange County, California.

It’s in a quiet area of the beach with hardly anybody else around.

We like coming down here for a few days at a time to enjoy the views and the peace and quiet.

Palm Canyon Resort – Palm Springs, California

Palm Canyon Resort is the premiere timeshare resort in Palm Springs.

We love staying here for fun stay-cations every so often because it’s always discounted within 30-60 days or less of travel.

They have a great pool with a hot tub and water slides built into the rocks.

Palm Canyon Resort in California

Mystic Dunes Resort – Orlando, FL

Mystic Dunes is one of the Diamond timeshares that really has a resort vibe, but the setting of being in Orlando, Florida probably plays a big part in that.

It’s just south of Disney World, with easy access to the parks.

The rooms are spacious and well kept, with just about every amenity when you stay in a one bedroom.

Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club

Bell Rock Inn – Sedona, AZ

Bell Rock Inn is a timeshare resort just South of the city center of Sedona.

It’s an older, smaller property, but it’s the most effective use of timeshare points.

Our stay was the equivalent of only about $65 a night!

Historic Powhatan Resort (Williamsburg)

We absolutely loved staying at this resort in Williamsburg.

It was one of our more affordable timeshare visits and the unit had everything we needed.

We had just a One Bedroom, but it was 3 stories and set up like a townhome.

The first floor was the entrance, the second floor had a kitchen, dining room, full bathroom, bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and laundry.

Then the top floor was like a converted loft or attic with a tv, couch, and coffee table.

Conclusion: Ka’anapali Beach Club Deluxe Oceanview Review

Staying in a resort like this is all part of the Maui experience.

Having a full kitchen, a soaking tub, floor to ceiling windows, views of neighboring islands, and so much more are what makes Ka’anapali Beach Club one of the best places to stay on Maui.
