Legacy Golf Resort Review

We stayed at Legacy Golf Resort as part of a 2 year timeshare sampler with Club Wyndham.

I believe the resort itself is owned and operated partially by Shell Vacations and partially by Club Wyndham.

Like many timeshares, you don’t have to be an owner of any sort of timeshare to stay here.

You can book directly through the resort’s website or through your preferred booking platform and pay cash.

Room Types

When we stayed here, we stayed in a studio room.

You can check out the full walkthrough tour on our YouTube Channel.

I’ll pull some snippets from the video though to show you a bit of the room in photos.

While studios tend to appear like just a regular hotel room, they actually have more amenities.

For example, this room has an in-unit washer and dryer and a partial kitchen.

Kitchen

Not only does this kitchen have the standard microwave and mini fridge that hotel rooms have, it also has a 2 burner stove top, sink, dishwasher, and a variety of appliance like a toaster, coffee maker, and blender.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware, dish soap, a sponge, paper towels, and more.

Living Room

The studio also has a distinct separation of the living space and the bedroom space.

We enjoyed having a table large enough to eat meals and use it as a work space.

Bed

The studio rooms here also come with a King Bed.

Every so often we come across timeshares that only have a Queen Bed in their studios, so this was a good perk.

Bathroom

There are 2 bathroom vanities in this room, each with it’s own sink, so 2 people can get ready at the same time.

One is inside the bathroom, while the other is just outside the bathroom.

The bathroom has a decent sized bath tub as well.

Room Pricing

We stayed in a studio for 3 nights in July for 22,800 points.

With what we paid for our 2 year timeshare sampler with Wyndham, this stay came out to $200.87 for the total stay, or $66.96 per night.

Depending on the time of year, if you’re not a timeshare owner and you’re paying cash for your stay, it’s generally closer to about $150 a night.

Resort Amenities

The pool and pool bar here is quite large.

The pool is in sort of a U shape, which adds more wall space throughout the pool.

This helps people space out more and be in their own groups a little more, rather than being in one giant square shaped pool.

There is a ton of seating around the pool as well.

They host movie nights here in the evenings too and games like ping pong.

Some other amenities, that I haven’t personally experienced, but I know are there include 2 tennis courts, a golf course, a driving range, a restaurant, a fitness center, and a playground.

Overall Experience

Overall, we had a great time staying at this resort.

It was well over 100 degrees during our visit and the pool was the perfect place for escaping the heat.

Our room had everything we needed and it was at the best price point.

It’s definitely one of the most cost effective timeshare points we’ve ever used.

Lastly, the resort isn’t too far away from all the Phoenix, Scottsdale, and the surrounding area has to offer.

Our Favorite Places To Stay In Arizona

We love to take weekend getaways all throughout Arizona.

These are some of our favorite places to stay outside of Phoenix.

Kingman KOA

We stayed in a camping cabin here when we were moving from California to Ohio and loved it.

It’s perfect for road tripping across the country or along Route 66.

Varsity Clubs of America Tucson

This is one of our all time favorite timeshare resorts.

It’s low-key, right in the middle of Tucson, and so affordable.

Harrah’s Ak-Chin Resort & Casino

Harrah’s Ak-Chin is just outside of Phoenix and they are actually part of Caesar’s Rewards, so it’s easy to earn free nights here.

Bell Rock Inn

Bell Rock Inn is a timeshare resort just on the outskirts of Sedona.

It’s an older, smaller property, but their studio is really the size of a one bedroom, so you get the most bang for your buck here.

Our Favorite Wyndham Timeshare Resorts

Between Club Wyndham and WorldMark by Wyndham, we’ve been able to visit a handful of timeshare properties around the US and these are our favorites.

For reference, Club Wyndham is considered higher-end and tends to be in major cities, whereas WorldMark tends to be more mid-range and in more outdoorsy destinations.

But they’re all under the Wyndham umbrella and can usually be used interchangeably.

Club Wyndham La Cascada (San Antonio)

While La Cascada is one of the pricier Club Wyndham properties, it’s on par with the neighboring hotels and resorts.

This resort is right along the San Antonio Riverwalk, so you’re paying for your access and convenience to all of San Antonio’s most popular attractions.

The rooms are really nice, have full kitchens and a jacuzzi, plus a balcony overlooking the city.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom on our visit and shared a complete review of our experience.

You can also check out the full room tour on our YouTube channel.

Club Wyndham Avenue Plaza (New Orleans)

Club Wyndham Avenue Plaza is a neat hotel in the Garden District of New Orleans.

With the city being as old as it is, the rooms are a bit smaller than most Club Wyndham properties, but it’s decorated nicely to fit the theme of New Orleans.

During Mardi Gras this hotel is right on the parade route.

There’s also a street car stop right out front that’s a quick ride into the French Quarter.

You can read our complete review of this timeshare on our blog or check out a full room tour video on our YouTube channel.

Club Wyndham National Harbor (Washington, D.C.)

This resort is actually in National Harbor, Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC.

It’s again one of the more expensive properties due to it’s location, but the rooms are much larger than other city destinations.

It’s centrally located in National Harbor, surrounded by shops and restaurants.

We booked a one bedroom when we stayed here, but we received a complimentary upgrade to a two bedroom unit that was amazing.

You can read our full review or check out our room tour video on our YouTube channel.

Club Wyndham Shawnee Village (Poconos, Pennsylvania)

Now for another affordable option!

This resort is made up of a bunch of cabin-like buildings spread throughout the property.

We stayed in a one bedroom that was very spacious, had a fireplace, and came with a full kitchen and in-unit laundry.

This was one of my favorite places because it was quiet, near all the activities in The Poconos, and you get way more for your money at this resort than the city destinations.

You can read our full review on our blog or check out the full room tour video on our YouTube channel.

WorldMark Angels Camp (Northern California)

Angels Camp is in Northern California’s gold country near Yosemite National Park.

The WorldMark resort here is like a rustic mountain lodge, complete with cozy fireplaces in each unit.

We love staying up there to unplug and enjoy nature.

You can check out a full walk-through of their one bedroom rooms on our YouTube channel.

WorldMark Indio (Palm Springs)

WorldMark Indio is in a suburb on the outskirts of the Greater Palm Springs area.

We love this resort for it’s pool with a lazy river and how spacious the rooms are.

It’s also way more affordable than the simple hotel rooms in Palm Springs, while also having more amenities like a full kitchen.

You can see a full walk-through of the one bedroom on our YouTube Channel and the 4 bedroom Grand Villa walk-through.

WorldMark Big Bear

WorldMark Big Bear is located in the mountains just outside of LA and Orange County.

It’s a great mountain getaway whether you want to enjoy the lake in the Summer or skiing in the Winter.

You can see a full walk-through of our one bedroom at this resort on our YouTube Channel.
