WorldMark Angels Camp Review (2024)
Want to know what it’s like to stay at WorldMark Angels Camp? We’ve got you covered with everything we experienced during our stay here!
WorldMark Angels Camp is a timeshare property owned by Wyndham Destinations, now known as Travel + Leisure.
Sometimes you’ll hear it used interchangeably with Club Wyndham Angels Camp since both timeshares use this resort since they are part of the same company.
Angels Camp is a small mountain town in Northern California in California’s gold country.
Located in Calaveras County, it’s nearby popular attractions like Calaveras Big Trees State Park and the historic downtown Murphys (which has a few wine tasting rooms).
It’s also about 60 miles Northwest of Yosemite National Park, which is about an hour and a half drive if you’re going into Yosemite Valley.
To see all of the fun activities you can do when staying at WorldMark Angels Camp, check out our YouTube video highlighting our entire getaway.
Lastly, you don’t have to be a timeshare owner to stay at this resort.
You can book it directly online however you prefer to book your hotel stays.

WorldMark Angels Camp Review
WorldMark Angels Camp is a decent sized resort that is spread out amongst a handful of buildings all centered around the main resort amenities like the pool, fitness center, and lobby.
The theme of the resort is quite rustic since you’re up in the mountains and the rooms have a bit of a cabin feel to them.
If you’ve been to the WorldMark Big Bear resort, they’re practically the same, though I think Big Bear might be a little smaller.

Rooms
During our visit, we stayed in a 1 bedroom.
Check out the complete 1 bedroom tour on our YouTube Channel to see the layout of the room.
WorldMark Angels Camp also offers 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom villas.
What’s great about these rooms is all of them have a bedroom separate from the main living space.
They also all have a full kitchen which is my favorite thing about staying at timeshare properties.
There is also a Murphy bed in each unit, which is the bed that pulls down from the wall, so that the 1 bedroom unit can sleep up to 4 people if needed.
I loved that our room had a fireplace.
It made it much cozier since we were visiting in the Spring when the overnight temperatures were still in the 30s and 40s.
Having a patio or balcony, depending on which floor you’re on is also a great feature of this resort.
There is a full sized grill out there too that is perfect for having a cookout.
While we didn’t do that at this resort, we did use it at Big Bear, which again is almost identical.

Resort Amenities
This resort has a nice pool and large hot tub.
The large hot tub is perfect for the cooler nights up in the mountains.
They usually do movie nights out by the pool as well and depending on how busy it is, you should be able to see the movie from the hot tub.
There is a fitness center in this main area as well, but we didn’t use it during our visit, so I can’t speak to what all is there.
Onsite parking is free and you’re able to park right in front of your unit which is great for loading and unloading your car.
Wifi does have an extra charge, which I believe is about $5 a day if you want to add it on.
Personally, we just used our hotspots on our phones if we needed to connect other devices like our laptops while we were there.
Overall Experience
We had a nice time staying at this resort and exploring a new area of California we had never been to before.
This area is truly a hidden gem because we’ve shared our experience here with many people that have lived in California their whole lives, but they’ve never heard of this area!
WorldMark Angels Camp tends to be one of the cheaper timeshare properties due to its location, which is how we found it in the first place.
We were trying a 2 year sampler of Club Wyndham timeshare properties and wanted to stretch our points as far as we could.

Our Favorite Wyndham Timeshare Properties
Between Club Wyndham and WorldMark by Wyndham, we’ve been able to visit a handful of timeshare properties around the US and these are our favorites.
Club Wyndham La Cascada (San Antonio)
While La Cascada is one of the pricier Club Wyndham properties, it’s on par with the neighboring hotels and resorts.
This resort is right along the San Antonio Riverwalk, so you’re paying for your access and convenience to all of San Antonio’s most popular attractions.
The rooms are really nice, have full kitchens and a jacuzzi, plus a balcony overlooking the city.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom on our visit and shared a complete review of our experience.
You can also check out the full room tour on our YouTube channel.
Club Wyndham Avenue Plaza (New Orleans)
Club Wyndham Avenue Plaza is a neat hotel in the Garden District of New Orleans.
With the city being as old as it is, the rooms are a bit smaller than most Club Wyndham properties, but it’s decorated nicely to fit the theme of New Orleans.
During Mardi Gras this hotel is right on the parade route.
There’s also a street car stop right out front that’s a quick ride into the French Quarter.
You can read our complete review of this timeshare on our blog or check out a full room tour video on our YouTube channel.
Club Wyndham National Harbor (Washington, D.C.)
This resort is actually in National Harbor, Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC.
It’s again one of the more expensive properties due to it’s location, but the rooms are much larger than other city destinations.
It’s centrally located in National Harbor, surrounded by shops and restaurants.
We booked a one bedroom when we stayed here, but we received a complimentary upgrade to a two bedroom unit that was amazing.
You can read our full review or check out our room tour video on our YouTube channel.
Club Wyndham Shawnee Village (Poconos, Pennsylvania)
Now for another affordable option!
This resort is made up of a bunch of cabin-like buildings spread throughout the property.
We stayed in a one bedroom that was very spacious, had a fireplace, and came with a full kitchen and in-unit laundry.
This was one of my favorite places because it was quiet, near all the activities in The Poconos, and you get way more for your money at this resort than the city destinations.
You can read our full review on our blog or check out the full room tour video on our YouTube channel.
Legacy Golf Resort Phoenix
This is a resort that Club Wyndham shares with Shell Vacations.
It’s set back against the mountains of Phoenix and really feels more like a resort getaway than most of the other Wyndham timeshare properties.
WorldMark Big Bear
WorldMark Big Bear is located in the mountains just outside of LA and Orange County.
It’s a great mountain getaway whether you want to enjoy the lake in the Summer or skiing in the Winter.
You can see a full walk-through of our one bedroom at this resort on our YouTube Channel.
WorldMark Indio
WorldMark Indio is in a suburb on the outskirts of the Greater Palm Springs area.
We love this resort for it’s pool with a lazy river and how spacious the rooms are.
It’s also way more affordable than the simple hotel rooms in Palm Springs, while also having more amenities like a full kitchen.
Conclusion: WorldMark Angels Camp Review
WorldMark Angels Camp is a great timeshare property up in California’s gold country.
There are plenty of amenities to enjoy your time right at the resort and it’s close to plenty of the nearby attractions.
You’ll definitely get your money’s worth here and you’ll enjoy the peace and quiet away from the city.
